Literature Text

I look into thine eyes and it is thy dreams I follow
Softly arising from a heart that has opened for loving
Thou hast more safety in dreaming than that in life
Upon thy face there is a sad lifting which carries into my heart

Reaching into the tragic and  beautiful folly which plays out
Characters of mind and heart who mask themselves from viewing
Wanting more, but weak the hand would not trust the reaching
There is beyond the sight a feeling which entices the soul

I liken the loving of a woman to that of the bouquet which flowers
The blooming once started has no strength against the warm sun
Soft the petals would open and thou could  not resist their softness
Sweet fragrance that is waiting to burst forth surely intoxicates
Stealing the very beat of thy heart caged in the longing for nectar

When dost thou know when thy dreams have captured reality?
For life would come as a thief and take from thee thy very joy
Leaving the end a narrow alley, dark and dank with a decayed life
Never a breeze upon thy musings of what might have embraced thee
Not once would thou have known the beauty thine eyes were closed upon

Leave thy sadness to that which embraces defeat and sorrow
Lift thy heart from thy chest and set it free to fly into a profound union
Know that it is thy treasured dreams which has brought thee home
Unto these arms thou wilt know thy passions are kindled fiercely

My lips await thy dreams to envelope for eternity's keeping
My hands are but only in savor of thy flesh to mold to mine
My voice speaks only to thee who carries  himself into me alone
My eyes look only upon thy face which is my hope of ecstasy found
Our dreams and the hope of those who catch them
